Success at A Level

Learners have achieved excellent results again this year. 98% achieved two or more advanced level passes, with many of them doing so at grades A*-C.  Learners have excelled in both traditional and vocational subjects.

Particularly pleasing have been the number of learners who have been able to secure the highest grades across a range of subjects.

Headteacher, Lee Cummins, comments,  “This is another magnificent achievement for all concerned with Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan. We are delighted for all our learners. Our sixth form provision continues to flourish and I would like to thank all parents and staff who have tirelessly supported these young people in achieving their dreams and securing their next step on the road to even greater success. We wish every learner continued success and happiness as they move on to pursue their chosen careers and further study.”

Exceptional individual performances include the following:

Jack MacDonald 4 A*’s and an A Grade;  Rory Caine 2 A’s and a B;  Laura Steel 1A*, 1A, 1B and 1C;  Melissa Sumaliong  1A, 3B’s;  Daniel Davies A*, A, A.
